The European Music Day 2022 returns dynamically for the 23rd consecutive year with live events for music lovers everywhere in Greece! And this year, we will mingle again in the most emblematic places after two “arrhythmic” years of live events. The collective music experience in lively streets, crowded squares, green mountains, and summerful islands… will replace every virtual reality. This year the Music is alive and kicking, and it deserves to fly high!

Starting on June 18th and for 4 days until June 21st, the most beautiful summer celebration will open its music box – releasing its heartbeat in more than 22 regions of Greece. A continuous party that invites us to discover new sounds and be enchanted through all forms of communication because Music unites us, cultures and rhythmic smiles!
The 60 different event venues are coordinated under a big artistic embrace, offering everyone a carefree and festive mood! Over 110 bands, orchestras, bands, choirs and DJs in more than 130 different music events are waiting for you to enjoy the multi-themed music experience! We celebrate the unique energy and atmosphere of live Music that we missed so much! This year’s program of the European Music Day is dedicated to the heart of Music, to its most extroverted summer beat.
This harmonious “symphony” of sounds will be heard in Athens through the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the Herodeion, the Music Library of the “Lillian Voudouri” Association, Varnavas Square and the Concert Hall. The co-capital will be rocked through the Royal Theater and the Concert Hall. While the beautiful musical synergy will continue to spin with passion through the Acheloos Valley and from the Medieval City of Rhodes to the Cathedral of Agios Georgios in Ano Syros.
