The 21st of June is the longest day of the year, and over the past 20 years, the summer solstice have brought together thousands of amateur, grass root talents and renowned artists with thousand of people all over the country.

In collaboration with public and private sector, the European Music Day 2019 will take place in over 50 cities and regions of Greece presenting more than 380 events, workshops and concerts with more than 300 bands, 40 ensembles, philharmonic and symphonic orchestras, 35 choirs and 65 DJs in more than 270 venues across Greece.

This special edition is the result of an amazing national collaborative effort and the passionate support of hundreds of citizens and volunteer organizers participating in the European Music Day, to flood neighborhoods, squares, pedestrian streets and parks with music and rhythms from all over the globe, from 21st until 23rd of June.

A loud call prompting everyone to leave every days’ life aside, and follow the heartbeats of music from Ancient Olympia to Nisyros Island, the Acheloos Valley to Chania (Crete Island) and Argostoli (Kefalonia Island) to Mytilini (Lesvos Island).
