Music Events Coordination and Organization (M.E.S.O.)

M.E.S.O. (Music Events Coordination Organization) is a non-profit organization involved in the organization, planning and production of special music and cultural events. One of its core activities concerns the national coordination of the European Music Day organizers network in Greece and the development of sustainable cultural projects with trans-regional and transnational collaborations.

MESO was established in 1998 with the support of the French and Hellenic ministries of Culture as a national coordination office for the European Music Day (EMD) and developed according to the statutes of the governing body, the AISBL Fête Européenne de la Musique” – “I.N.P.O. European Music Day Association” (EMDA) based in Brussels.

Aside Music Day events, and since the Paralympic Ceremonies in 2004, MESO has also produced hundreds of special events and its team has a strong expertise in Cultural and Creative Industries, Live Event Management and Production but also in Vocational Educational and Training (VET) activities.

At European level, M.E.S.O. has been appointed to manage the European Music Day association secretariat needs, and has also an active role in major European cultural networks and Initiatives such as the EURICCA Association (European Research Agency for Cultural Clusters), the Anna Lindh Foundation, the Global Entrepreneurship Week Network or the newly born European Live Music Association.

Since 2009, M.E.S.O. Music Events is in charge f the development of the European Network of the “A.I.S.B.L. Fête Européenne de la Musique / I.N.P.O. European Music Day Association”. We also support the European Live Music Association since 2015.

In 19 years, since the first events of Athens, the European Music Day events have produced and presented

  •  3.400 soloists/ Djs / bands / orchestras and Choirs all over the country
  •  110 Bands /soloists/ Choirs and Orchestras from Abroad.
  •  300 Bands and Orchestras exchange (within national network)
  •  18 international artistic projects exchanges.
  •  35 Artistic Co-Productions
  •  250 Workshops and 10 Conferences

For the 19th edition of the European Music Day (EMD) events in Greece (2018) , EMD network organised more than 500 events (of which approx. 450 concerts) during 3 days, simultaneously in 55 cities and MESO music events Team coordinated the production of Attica events (92 live events, in 60 locations ).
