3 European networks joins AMW2024

AMW 2024 Mixer: Athens at the Heart of European Music Innovation

During Athens Music Week 2024, MESO hosted one of the most dynamic moments of the European music calendar. The AMW Mixer brought together a powerful mix of creative minds and emerging talents from across the continent in a vibrant celebration of music, innovation, and collaboration.

The event gathered the entire network of HEMI Incubator 2024 with over 30 winning projects and their mentors and experts for a rare in-person moment of connection, exchange, and feedback. From startup founders and label managers to festival producers and digital creatives, the energy in the room reflected the diversity and drive of the region’s next generation of music entrepreneurs.

At the same time, the Eastern European Music Academy (EEMA) joined the Mixer with 10 rising artists and professionals from across Eastern Europe, having selected Athens as a key stop in their international networking circuit. Their presence added a fresh creative layer and opened new pathways for cross-regional collaboration.

The Music Tech Europe Academy (MTEA) also hosted its final networking and wrap-up event during the same evening, bringing together participants and mentors for a closing celebration of their journey through the academy.

Highlights of the evening included:

• Curated networking circles and one-on-one meetups
• Lightning introductions from each delegation
• Music showcases and spontaneous jam sessions
• Cross-program discussions on export, innovation, and sustainability
• Local wine and food that fueled informal connections

Another initiative that underlined Athens as a rising center for European music dialogue and co-creation. Through AMW 2024, MESO demonstrated that Greece is not only taking part in the conversation but has the potential to attract and host the key players shaping the future of the ecosystem.
