MT-AL – Music Trainers for Adult Learning

About

Music Trainers for Adult Learning (MT-AL)

Empowering adult learning through music as a tool for inclusion, creativity, and lifelong education.

Background

The MT-AL project (Grundtvig Partnership – Lifelong Learning Programme of the EU) aimed to rethink the role of music trainers in adult education, focusing on learners with limited or no prior musical experience.

It was launched to address the evolving needs of adult education by promoting innovative, inclusive, and participatory methods in music-based learning.

The initiative explored how rhythm, body movement, and traditional music techniques can be used to foster self-expression, communication, and emotional resilience among adult learners, especially those from underrepresented or socially excluded groups.
